I'm Mikan, a UX/UI designer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have a diverse background in graphic design and web development, which has given me the opportunity to work on various aspects of digital design.
While working as a UI designer at an advertising agency, I worked closely with clients to create visual materials and websites. This experience has helped me develop strong communication skills, exceptional customer service, and the ability to analyze feedback effectively. By utilizing my design skills and incorporating valuable client feedback, I am able to solve problems and meet the needs of my clients.
As I learned more about this field, I became increasingly interested in user research and user experience design. To further enhance my knowledge and skills in UX design, I completed the Google UX design certificate course on Coursera. As I continue to learn and work on projects, I firmly believe that empathy is crucial in creating inclusive designs. Being a designer means not only being a visual creator but also being a good listener. By taking the time to understand user pain points, I can develop user-centered design solutions that offer a seamless user experience.
I am capable of completing tasks independently and I also enjoy working as part of a team. Working cooperatively with the product manager and engineers could achieve greater results.
During my leisure time, I create illustrations from initial sketches to final artwork. Moreover, I enjoy editing videos and creating motion graphics.
